Magic: The Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012

The game is enhanced from the previous version but focuses on the core formula. In particular, players have their turns to use cards from their deck. They create collections of lands and spells. Lands generate mana, while mana casts spells with five colors. Colors are required to activate the mana correctly. The interface is accessible for new players when they can start from zero with more tutorials and a demo starts. There are now three campaigns that have increased in difficulty. Therefore, everyone can face stronger opponents. Puzzles are now side missions in the main campaign. They unlock when AI enemies are defeated. Overall, players can fight against AI or other players in multiplayer. The game is more accessible but still complex to attract the attention of players.
