The DLC packs add new missions and expand the storyline. They introduce new vehicles, weapons, and items. The game engine is improved for better graphics with a new introduction. Players could transfer choices from their save game of the original version. They included romantic interests and character sacrifices carried over the main character’s appearance and stats. To help PS3 owners catch up, a new chapter called Genesis was added with an interactive comic. It lets players relive the first game’s events. They can also make six major decisions in Genesis that affect the second game. Players first choose Shepard’s gender and appearance. After that, they play the main introduction and can access Genesis. The comic summarizes the original game’s story and allows players to shape their narrative for the sequel.
