Peace for a long time in the future, but robots rampage across cities to destroy humanity. Dr. Light is blamed for this trouble, while Dr. Wily claims innocence. To protect the world, he asks for money to build robots and save the world. That robot, Mega Man, has a destiny to fight against the machine’s enemies. At the same time, the game suspects foul play and sets out to stop eight new robots. It reverts to a retro style, resembling original NES games. Players run, jump, and shoot through stages to reach bosses. Defeating bosses grants their weapons to Mega Man and increases the chance of winning.
