EA’s 2008 ice hockey simulation has many improvements. The Skill Stick feature is enhanced. A new Goalie mode is added. Players can control the goalie through a 3rd-person camera. Custom players can be created and developed. A rumble feature allows players to call for the puck. They can tap the ice with the stick. The game includes NHL teams and international teams. It also features 29 AHL teams. New jerseys for the regular NHL season are included. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions have some differences. They don’t have a fantasy draft for creating dream teams. However, they include Elitserien and SM-liiga, and Gary Thorne and Bill Clement provide commentary to make the ambiance more realistic. The game offers various modes and features so players can experience different aspects of ice hockey. Goalies or skaters are the roles everyone can try, or they can also manage teams and compete with other opponents.
