Lord Piccolo and his minions Ozaru have brought troops to invade and devastating Earth. To prevent this, the seven mystics created a powerful spell called Mafuba and used it to seal Piccolo. However, two thousand years later Piccolo broke the seal and, along with the female ninja, Mai, began searching for the dragon balls, on the way to slaughter anyone unlucky to encounter him. At the same time Goku – a little fighter, his grandfather gave him the 4-star ball. Goku returns from his house one day after seeing his house destroyed, and his grandfather is seriously injured after Piccolo failed to win the Dragon Ball. Before his death, his grandfather told Goku to go to the martial arts master Muten Roshi – one of the holders of the dragon balls. From then on, the path of practising martial arts, making new friends on the journey in order to collect all 7 dragon balls and Goku’s revenge with Piccolo began.
Dragon Ball: Evolution is faithful to the storyline closely with the original comic book work. Players can choose a favourite character to participate in the battle on the arena. If you’ve ever played Dragon Ball fighting games before (such as Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai), it won’t be hard to adapt and need a lot of practice on the gameplay. Using and combining heavy, light, and special attacks using simple multipurpose combo attacks will increase the damage and easily kill the enemy. Using the two modes is Arcade and Story just by using squares and triangles with some special attacks and blocks that will easily defeat the opponent. However, repeating the tactics will cause boredom. Of course, if you keep fighting AI-controlled enemies, it will not be interesting anymore. So the game offers an online fighting mode that allows players to join with friends.
Although the game also has some new features, it does not escape the situation like the movie of the same name. Because DragonBall has a large fan base, the reviews are also stricter. And Dragon Ball Evolution is not enough to meet those requirements makes it a boring and boring warrior.
