Gundam Assault Survive is a classic action simulation game, in which players control giant mobile steel equipment and roam the battlefield to fight the enemies. As the fifth instalment in the Gundam Battle series, this one is like a combination of old versions and additional improvements. With a battlefield filled with enemies and allies, huge clusters of gas caught fire in the air and countless rockets pierced the sky. The key to victory lies in using the right tactics to incorporate combo attacks into the enemy. Players must constantly speed up and down, rushing from side to side, while switching between weapons, examining targets and defeating as many enemies as possible. Be careful because there are enemies with special attacks that can shoot through all Gundam armour with a single attack.
Gundam Assault Survive is not like simulation games, fighting in the same line, but the game is a global century timeline with dramatic combat events. Along with the diverse character, the system allows players to arbitrarily adjust the features of the face, hometown, voice selection for the character that they are about to experience. Depending on and set your choice, characters will be classified as Newtype, Cyber Newtype, Coordinator, Extended, Gundam Meister or Special Technician with different functions and tasks. Add a new thing in this version to add more Gundam to the collection. Each Gundam has a lot of different ways to attack with one of its main weapons, secondary weapons or abilities, charge or special impressive attack. Most of the different moves are interesting, but it seems that melee moves bring more attack and damage to bigger opponents. The game is not last too long, not takes several hours to perform the mission and unlock new Gundam. The graphics in the comments are quite good, the Gundam is very detailed and the action is also smooth. Exterior combined with sound helps heat up the battlefield quite well.
Despite a few more functions and improvements compared to the previous version, Gundam Assault Survive is still considered as lacklustre gameplay, not enough to satisfy Gundam game enthusiasts for a long time.
