Hakuouki – Reimeiroku Portable

Hakuouki – Reimeiroku Portable is a Japanese dating Otome game based on the anime series Hakuouki: Shinsengumi Kitan. The story is about the Shinsengumi group – the strongest and largest Samurai corporation in Japan at the end of the Tokugawa shogunate. The members of the Shinsengumi team were praised for taking light death like a pink feather, iron discipline, and powerful swordsmanship. But in this digital version, they are not merely that. They will be entangled in a relationship with a girl named Yukimura Chizuru – a kind gentle person. She was accidentally brought to protect by Hijikata – Deputy Director of Shinsengumi because she inadvertently learned about the organisation’s secret. Thanks to that, she also found out that their search purpose was also her father, the missing person she was looking for. Since then, the whirlpool between love and politics as well as a dark conspiracy begins. In Hakuouki – Reimeiroku Portable focused heavily on dialogues between the characters as well as internal monologues (mostly Chizuru’s). There are four main routes, each of which is a story of a male character who will somehow be related to the female lead. There are also six new routes of extra characters. Although they do or do not have a romantic relationship with the female lead, the stories about them are still fascinating.
