The Masters of Evil are a group of villains Dr. Doom brought together. Over twenty of Marvel’s most powerful characters, including Spider-Man, Captain America, Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Blade, and Silver Surfer, have banded together for the first time to defeat Doom. As you cross the Marvel Universe to stop this threat, you can form teams of four Marvel superheroes using any combination of characters you like. Additional benefits can be gained by utilizing specific groups, such as the Fantastic Four and the New Avengers.

Initially, you will only have access to a select few heroes. In addition, role-playing game aspects are included, such as leveling up. When a hero advances in level, they get experience points to level up their skills. In addition, you will collect Shield Coins, which can be used to purchase various buffs for your hero team.

You travel to various historical Marvel locations, such as Asgard and Prince Namor’s Atlantis, and combat adversaries using punches, kicks, and multiple superpowers. However, using one’s superpowers carelessly will result in a loss of energy. Combining one’s many superpowers is required to perform combos. The recovery of lost energy is accomplished by retrieving blue orbs from defeated enemies.

The boss fights in video games are a lot like the fights in comic books; they are epic conflicts that frequently test your intelligence and physical ability. There are over 100 heroes and villains, with over 20 other playable heroes plus all cameos.

Play can be done offline, locally with a friend, or via the internet, depending on the mode. The gameplay of X-Men: Legends, released in 2004, can be compared to and seen as an upgraded version of Marvel Ultimate Alliance. The various iterations are virtually indistinguishable from one another. The new PSP version contains three game modes, while the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360 arrangements have more levels.
