The game is true to the essence of the series in every respect, including possessing a pleasant variety of 24 tracks, 58 cars, and music taken from all of the previous RR games. The game features several different game modes, such as a world tour mode in which the player competes on the courses to earn new cars and tracks, a Time Attack mode in which the player races around the tracks against time, and a multiplayer mode that supports the ad-hoc protocol, which means that up to eight players can race against each other with only one game disc, with one player hosting, and others joining.
