In Tony Hawk’s Project 8, The Birdman is hunting for the top eight skaters for his new Project, and he has stopped in your city to find the best top skaters. You must demonstrate that you are the best candidate among the 200 others competing for the coveted 8 places. You begin rated 200th, with numerous objectives set for you throughout the city, including the reintroduction of classic mode from the early Tony Hawk games.
Opportunities to advance in rank now come in a variety of forms. Throughout the city, spray-painted lines indicate a type of goal. Grinding a specific distance, completing Natas spins, maintaining your balance while doing a manual for a particular time and space, point combinations, and trick combos are all possible. Players can also get quests from random people scattered throughout the city.
Players can also earn Stokens by impressing the locals who can be seen walking about the city. These Stokens can purchase extra apparel, hairdo styles, shoes, tricks, and boards from the store.
The slow-motion “Nail the Trick” mode is new to this game, where the attention is on the skater’s feet, and the board’s movement may be controlled with both analog sticks to build up a massive combo score!
The PSP version features 14 multiplayer modes and 8 iconic levels, such as Hawaii, Alcatraz, and The Mall. Online multiplayer is not supported on the PS2, PS3, or Xbox versions.
