*Based on FFT: Complete v.50, which includes 99% of the script and text from The War of the Lions’ PSP port and fixes a few bugs. Setting aside the other changes that the patch makes, one could consider this to be an unofficial v.51 release of FFT: Complete because I fixed a few more bugs and left some text alone.

With one notable exception, which is detailed below, all of the game’s abilities, character statistics, job levels, and job requirements are identical to those found in the game’s original Japanese release. The readme contains a list of the differences between ability and character statistics.

*Even though Elmdore had the Safeguard power in the original Japanese version, it was removed so that players could still acquire the special Masamune and Genji gear.

*Includes ASM hacks created by the Final Fantasy Hacktics community that improve the quality of life and fix some persistent bugs:

-Elemental (v2) applies to all formulas. Sword skills with an element attached will now actually apply these elements, taking precedence over the element on a weapon like the Ice Brand. – Corrects the Oil status bug by making it double fire damage properly. Fell Sword skills are Dark elemental, while all Holy Sword skills are either Holy or Lightning/Holy.

Fixes the glitches associated with equipment duplication that can occur when using Best Fit in retail establishments.

Actual fix for the JP scroll glitch (Disable paging on confirm menu) – By disabling paging when a confirm menu is active, the JP scroll glitch is rendered impossible.

Random unit equipment will now be more discriminating when it comes to secondary item types. (You shouldn’t see knights wearing linen robes in Chapters 2 to 4)

-Unit slots filled when a unit leaves the party: When a unit leaves the party, other units fill the void to prevent the party from becoming empty.

-BEWARE! – If one of your units permanently perishes while you have more than one Guest in your party, this hack results in buggy behavior. Just reset if it does; you’ll know when it does because one of your Guest characters will change into another character after the battle is over. After a permadeath, the majority of players will reset anyway.

Holding the X key while pressing the Cross button will advance you through dialog text more quickly than pressing the button repeatedly.

Fixes a visual bug that caused characters to use a Rod rather than a Katana during some Iaido animations.
