The “Survival Horror” genre of video games was pioneered by Capcom with the release of “Biohazard” on the PlayStation in Japan on March 23, 1996. The game was renamed “Resident Evil” for its Western release one week later. At the time, the video game had racked up more than 2.75 million sales, making it an enormous commercial success.

Regrettably, Resident Evil was subjected to some controversial forms of censorship. According to what is written on the back of the game’s case, the game received a Director’s Cut update a year later, in 1997. This update featured many new additions, one of which was “the complete uncut and uncensored Resident Evil cinemas.” However, the latter was not accurate, and it is speculated that a manufacturing error was to blame. When Capcom decided to re-release the game for the third time in 1998, with support for the DualShock and an orchestrated soundtrack, one might think that the company had finally resolved this issue, but that wouldn’t be correct, would it? Not true.

This straightforward endeavor has the overarching goal of incorporating as many of the game’s significant extras as possible from its various iterations, such as the Beta, Trial, or the Japanese original. These additional features may include the following:

– The unaltered and uncut original FMVs from the Japanese version should be used, along with the full-color opening scene from the Director’s Cut release of the film in France and Germany.
– The controversial orchestrated background score was switched out for the score that was used in the film’s first Director’s Cut print as well as the one that was used in the original release.
– In the scenario involving Jill, use the Mansion’s Bathroom from the 01/31/1996 Beta version. This will enable you to obtain an additional Clip after you have disconnected the Water supply.
