FIFA International Soccer is a soccer sports game that creates one of the complete simulations based on international matches of major leagues around the world. Unlike Sensible Soccer, using a bird’s eye view or Kick Off using a top-down view, the game uses isometric focus. The player controls one of eleven football players in their team. The game has a total of 48 national teams, plus a team called EA All-Stars. The players are fictional (some of them, for example, Tim Ansell of England or Joe Della-Savia of Italy, each player has a name named after the famous players of different teams around the world) and look the same, except for the darker skin of players of some teams. With the ability to rotate players on command, the game allows up to four players at once, each to control a different football player. Players can choose to control a football player in the same team or the opposing teams. The computer controls the remaining players. The game has four main game modes, namely Exhibition, Tournament, Playoffs, and League, respectively. Exhibition mode is the players participating in a single match. The tournament mode is similar to the FIFA World Cup format, with players controlling a team of their choice through a series of matches. Start with three group matches with the possibility of progressing to the next four matches in a knockout format. Playoffs mode has a similar form, but ignores group games and starts at the first knockout game. Tournament mode consists of eight teams competing in a double circle tournament.
