Dragon Quest X

“Dragon Quest X” is an extremely popular massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed and produced exclusively by the hit game company Square Enix. The game was first released in Japan in 2012 and immediately became one of the top 10 best selling games in the country that same year. “Dragon Quest X” has quickly been well received by many players from around the world and has been praised for incorporating the features of “Dragon Quest” into the MMORPG architecture. In the game, players will be started with characters of the Human race, but according to the game’s progress, the character will have to choose to become a resident of the remaining 5 races: Orge, Elf, Dwarf, Puklipo, and Weddie. Considered as a “gifted child”, gamers will have to perform many difficult tasks in the game. “Dragon Quest X” is set in the world of Astoltia, with the player character being initially human before an attack by the Lord of Hell Nelgel forces their soul into the body of another race. Following this, they must gather magical gems to seal Nelgel once again, while the player character’s sibling is sent back in time to be safe from Nelgel. The gameplay is also a combination of elements from “Dragon Quest” and other contemporary MMORPGs, such as real-time combat in an open world environment and a job system tied to skills and abilities.
