I’m using Pokemon Essentials on RPGMaker. Art is my own, either completely original or edits of original Pokemon Sprites. I’m using the Elden Rign art for part of the start screen.
Unique Elements
- A pseudo-open world with optional exploration
- Grafted Pokemon, Spirit Ashes, and numerous regional Pokemon
- Higher difficulty than a traditional game, though less punishing than a typical Souls-like
- āGym leadersā are bosses from the game with themed gyms instead of type-based
Plot
8 Lords who have taken fragments of the Elden Rune, tearing the Lands Between asunder. You awaken, Tarnished, with only Melina and Torrent for help – and a poor Pokemon professor who is very out of her depth. Yet with the guidance of grace and your Pokemon skills, you may be able to defeat the Lords, claim their shards, and restore the Elden Ring – or watch let the world burn, if you prefer. Choices matter, with 3 endings currently planned.
The Worldā
- Creating by area (Limgrave, Liurnia, Caelid, etc)
- 3-5 routes per area
- Optional routes and areas
- Ex for Limgrave, there are only 3 or 4 ‘required’ areas to get to Godrick. Additional areas, like the Weeping
- Peninsula, Castle Morne, even Church of Elleh are optional areas. Then, in the areas themselves, there are optional tangents to explore – like a crypt in route 1 with an optional mini boss
- Torrent is your ābike,ā granting a quick way to travel from the start of the game (Not a fighting Pokemon, canāt be used in battle)
