Aces of the Galaxy is a futuristic space shooter played from the third-person perspective. The game’s objective is for the player to steal a single ship from the Skurgian armada and then use it to defeat the whole Skurgian fleet. As a result of multiple waves of foes being brought in simultaneously, the gameplay is highly frenetic. The player’s movement is not entirely free because it is constrained by how the camera faces. However, the player can alter the direction the camera is facing by doing barrel rolls or heading toward the side of the screen.
A selection of ships is available for you to choose from, each armed with a chain gun and torpedoes. Torpedoes require some time to reload, but if you hold down a button, you may chain them together so that they attack numerous foes simultaneously. Power-ups can improve the ship’s repair capacity or give the player access to the mission pick screen after each level. The game’s main objective is to complete nine different tasks; however, you can access three additional settings if you get the warp power-up at any point during gameplay. The player can build up a bar to activate a temporal shift that slows down time, there is a button to search for invisible foes who typically grant a significant amount of points, and larger adversaries are indicated in red.
There are three different degrees of difficulty, as well as a variety of achievements to earn.
