The only thing that keeps him going is his writing, and as you go through the new chapter, you will discover words and letters that may be highlighted by your torch and which bend and modify the environment as you move through his warped mind. As you progress through the plot of Alan Wake, you will return to previously explored areas of Bright Falls, but this time you will find them cast in a warped and sinister light, and new foes and challenges will be waiting for you to face them as you attempt to overcome them.
