Football All-Star Game The NFL 2K8 series is the spiritual successor to the NFL 2K series. It is the first 2K Sports American Football game after Electronic Arts obtained the NFL and NFLPA licenses for exclusive use.
This product takes a different approach to video game football to escape the exclusive license. Instead of reproducing genuine NFL players and teams, you can design your squad of Hall of Fame legends. There have been almost 240 retired NFL players licensed. All-Pro Football 2K8 grades players based on real-life characteristics such as great hands or the ability to execute in crunch time. A gold star is awarded to the most significant players. You can also change your team’s name, colors, logo, and uniforms. After creating your squad, you can play a fast game, an entire season in the fictitious All-Pro League, or go online. The APL comprises 24 teams divided into six divisions of four.
The rulebook alternates between the rigors of the Madden series and the liberties of Blitz: The League. Horse-collar tackles and late hits are permitted; however, the latter result in a fifteen-yard personal foul.
