The assassins operating in the current day, including Desmond Miles, can evade capture by the Templars and go into hiding. They find safety in the current-day town of Monteriggioni, which has been kept intact as a historical landmark. There, they prepared the Animus so that Desmond might investigate further into Ezio’s past and learn more about the Pieces of Eden that had been lost. At the beginning of Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, Ezio is shown leaving Rome to return to Monteriggioni. This event takes place right after the conclusion of Assassin’s Creed II. An ambush awaits him, and the Piece of Eden he discovered is taken from him. He must return to Rome, which the Borgia family has since taken control of, to save the city’s inhabitants and regain what has been lost.
The story started in Assassin’s Creed II is continued in Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood. Players assume the role of Ezio as they use their assassination talents to battle against the Templars and free Rome from their oppression. Players complete objectives to advance the narrative, go through their financial situation, and gradually rescue the city from Borgia’s control. To be more specific, Ezio can reclaim portions of Rome back for the people by burning down the thirteen Borgia towers that are being used to enforce their authority. He can then use his money to restore stores, shortcut tunnels, and Roman landmarks. Players will also get a consistent income from Rome due to their actions, which they can collect from any of Rome’s banks.
The Assassin’s Creed series has recently included a multiplayer mode to its games. The storyline of the multiplayer mode is based on the premise that the Templar organization known as Abstergo is employing the use of Animus simulators to train their recruits to become assassins. You play the part of an Abstergo recruit tasked with locating and eliminating their target while simultaneously evading attempts to stop you as a potential target. It would be best if you didn’t give off any indications that could lead to suspicion; otherwise, it will become clear that you are an assassin and not a regular citizen, making it much simpler for someone to find and eliminate you. You will collect points while you play the game, allowing you to level up your character and improve their skills and talents.
The Trajan Market and The Aquaduct are included as additional maps in the Windows version of the game, which is available on Steam and in the boxed retail edition.
