Banjo the bear and his breegull companion, Kazooie, have gained weight after ten years of retirement due to spending all their time playing video games and eating pizza. Gruntilda, their terrible nemesis (now reduced to a skull), returns to Spiral Mountain to begin another battle. Their feud is quickly ended by the Lord Of Games, the creator of every game, who is tired of their continual arguing. L.O.G. confiscates Grunty’s magic and Kazooie’s special moves and makes his challenge – the winner receives the title deed to Spiral Mountain…while the loser spends eternity toiling in his video game factory!

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts is a follow-up to the Nintendo 64 game Banjo-Kazooie. Players explore the world of Showdown Town, which contains Mumbo’s Garage – this garage allows players to build any car imaginable as long as it adheres to specific basic standards – it must have an engine, fuel, and a seat for Banjo to sit in. Aside from that, you may build anything from hovercrafts to planes to trucks to rockets to unicycles (and more!). Showdown Town leads to many other planets, all made by L.O.G. These planets have challenges, and it is up to the player to construct the best vehicle for that obstacle. Solving each task rewards Jiggies, which are puzzle pieces that may be used to unlock other realms and eventually face off against Grunty herself for the grand prize – the deed to Spiral Mountain.

Users can also compete online against other Xbox Live users and share blueprints for their vehicles, video replays of their challenges, and in-game images.
