The first story extension for Batman: Arkham City, Harley Quinn’s Revenge, was published after many costume and challenge map DLC packs were available. It takes place after the original game’s events and features a campaign that is approximately two hours long. Batman has not been seen for some time, and in his absence, Harley Quinn has assumed control of the Joker’s old center of operations and his gang. At the beginning of the game, the player takes control of Robin, and his initial mission is to discover where Batman has gone. Following that initial segment, a flashback takes place two days before Robin’s introduction and shows what happened to Batman. The player assumes control of Batman during these game segments as he investigates Harley Quinn’s intentions. After that, the game jumps back and forth between the characters’ narratives multiple times until it finally reaches its end.

The movements and abilities that Robin possesses, such as grappling with zipping, kicking an opponent in the chest, throwing shuriken, or using the bo staff as a shield, are the same as those that were featured in the challenge missions that were included in the Robin Bundle Pack DLC, which is where the playable character was first introduced. The narrative is restricted to a progression bound to a linear path, and there is neither open-world exploration nor side quests like in the first game. On the other hand, a Harley-Davidson collectible balloon set is waiting to be found.
