Crash! is an arcade game in the Burnout series of games, focusing on racing, with added emphasis on crashing and causing damage in general and opponents.
Burnout Crash! Departs from the series’ usual third-person perspective favoring the top-down view. The game aims to cause as big a pile-up as possible by driving a car to pile up at one of 18 different motorway intersections by crashing a car at that given intersection. The score is awarded based on dollars ($) and is calculated by how much property damage is done. Players’ high scores can be uploaded via EA’s auto log to either Xbox Live or PSN. Three games modes can be chosen: the first is Road Trip – the primary game mode, the player crashes their car to cause a pile-up; the second is Rush Hour – players have 90 seconds to cause as much destruction as possible; and the final mode is called Pile Up – the player must keep their Inferno multiplier up while causing destruction, once it hits zero, the game is over.
On the Xbox 360 version of the game, players can also use the Kinect sensor to control the car and cause pile-ups using hand gestures.
