The player assumes control of five different individuals throughout the game; all of them are members of the rock band Charlie Murder. Skelekitten, Lester Deth, Tommy Homicide, The Executioner, and Charlie Murder comprise the group’s membership.
After Charlie has one of the band’s members, Paul, kicked out, he forms a new band that he calls Gore Quaffer and names it after himself. Paul, who now goes by Lord Mortimer, begins collaborating with a demon to destroy the band Charlie Murder by gathering an army to do their bidding.
Each of the five playable characters possesses unique abilities, the most notable of which pertains to their Anar-chi, a unique magical talent. The game has a wide variety of conventional foes, like zombies, sharks, yetis, witches, and a host of unique bosses and mini-bosses of varying difficulty levels.
The game features both standard levels of fighting and minigames, in addition to various unique levels. In these individual levels, the player is allowed activities not in the regular combat levels, such as driving or flying.
