Simply put, Clyde is the dumbest person on the planet. When requested to participate in an important scientific experiment, he agrees, if only for the $20 promised at the end. Things, however, do not go as planned, and Clyde soon finds himself cloned a hundred times over. Regardless of the money, his new mission is to escape the laboratory and its bizarre worlds while saving his fellow cloned Clydes from Dupliclone, Inc.
To accomplish this, he must utilize unique technology to explore each level and defeat the security robots to activate the exit portals. He can not only clone himself to solve challenging challenges but also alter his DNA structure to become, for example, Chicken Clyde to fly away from foes or Frog Clyde to swim across bomb-infested seas. He can also transform into a monkey, a sheep, or an exploding barrel, each of which has distinct powers to help him get out of a jam.
Clyde can also collect DNA strands to unlock a powerful special attack, uncover hidden toy dolls for bonus points, and, if you’re quick enough, clock the best time for each level to get even more points to your final score.
This one-of-a-kind side-scrolling adventure mixes the gameplay elements of Lemmings (rescuing all of the Clydes through each level) and The Lost Vikings (using each clone to collaborate in solving problems like flipping switches or throwing a clone over a gap). There are single-player and multi-player options (online and offline) and cooperative and challenge modes via Xbox Live.
