College Hoops 2K7 is an update to College Hoops 2K6 that continues 2K’s NCAA basketball franchise. It includes the required roster upgrades (including player names) with 325 NCAA Division I teams to pick from, updated mascots, new fight songs, and real-life coaches such as Billy Donovan, Roy Williams, and Jay Wright.
It includes the normal modes and an enhanced Legacy (franchise) mode in which the player takes command of an NCAA team, recruiting and preparing future NBA players. It has upgraded offensive and defensive AI and Team Unity, combining the team’s chemistry with the captain’s leadership characteristics to help their team’s performance and morale on the court.
Players can also personalize by designing their school, clothes, and even a stadium for their new school. Except for a few variations, the games are nearly identical: the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions can create chants for crowds to yell during home games, while the PS3 uses the SIXAXIS controller to shoot free throws by tilting it.
