A game played with a mouse in which the player navigates a small, circular spaceship to gather various crystals scattered throughout the screen. The aliens that continuously swarm out of the portals located on both sides of the screen make this task considerably more challenging. These can be destroyed using the ship’s gun, which has an infinite supply of ammunition, or by detonating one of the “smart bombs,” the player has a limited supply of, which will wipe out all the adversaries currently on the screen.
The game’s mechanics were highly innovative for their day; the ship does not just follow the movement of the mouse like a mouse cursor would do. Instead, it keeps its inertia, meaning it must be maneuvered with extreme caution to avoid colliding with anything. Because the player’s spacecraft moves in the same direction as the bullets when they are shot, it is necessary for the player to maneuver their ship for the enemy to destroy them.
Although it was business for the IIgs as usual, this was the first time the Macintosh had ever displayed color in a game.
