Darkstalkers Resurrection is an upgraded adaptation of two coin-operated arcade fighting games, Night Warriors and Vampire Savior. The game focuses on multiplayer elements built for competitive play and emphasizes these aspects.
The game contains many extra content that may be unlocked, such as photographs and movies. However, the game itself is created as a clean version without any features that would impair the original gameplay. As a result, this is one of the only home ports of Vampire Savior that does not have Huitzil, Pyron, or Donovan as playable characters. This is one of the only home ports of Vampire Savior that was released in the United States.
