Dirt 3 is a rally racing simulator. As expected, most of the time is spent in races, most of which occur in offroad conditions. The critical distinction between this and other racing games is that the player does not drive alone but has a front-seat passenger who signals when to turn. The game has 98 courses in all. However, some of them are just variants of the same theme. The outstanding ability to return after making a mistake is also included.
In contrast to DiRt 2, this iteration includes modes other than the career mode, such as a single race. However, the career mode remains the game’s core; here, the player adjusts his car, competes in races, and accumulates experience points, which are used to unlock new vehicles. Throughout their career, there are six various race modes to complete, such as conventional races and “trailblazer” (no passenger available). Drift tournaments and Gymkhana are enclosed spaces with many stunt opportunities – the idea is to perform as many as possible in a short period- are two new ones. In addition, each mode features unique additional objectives that, when completed, grant more experience.
