The long-running Dynasty Warriors video game series by Koei continues with its eighth iteration, Dynasty Warriors 8. Luo Ganzhong’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms is reenacted as it has been done for generations. Each of the clans, Wei, Wu, Shu, and Jin, was introduced in the game before it had its story mode. This continues from Dynasty Warriors 7. Instead of having just one character to choose from, each stage gives you an option between four different characters. A hypothetical branching chain of events can be unlocked by achieving certain of the story’s optional objectives, even though the narrative largely follows the actual historical events. In addition, every character belonging to one of the “Other” factions has their own story mode to play through.
The game adds a few new ones to get the total number of playable characters in Dynasty Warriors 8 up to over 82. It brings back others from earlier Dynasty Warriors games or, in the case of Zuo Ci, from Warriors Orochi. Players can choose to take control of any of these warriors.
The new Ambition mode is added to the existing Story Mode and Free Mode in the game. It is intended that the Emperor will visit the social foundation established for the people of the realm. It is necessary to strengthen this tower, known as the Tonquetai Tower, by participating in various skirmishes, raids, and large-scale conflicts. These encounters all have an extraordinary impact on the tower’s progression.
