In the sequel to the first Exit movie, Mr. ESC makes a comeback. Once more, the player must employ a combination of hopping from platform to platform and solving puzzles to free certain citizens who have become trapped. The game provides players with several tools, such as ladders and fire extinguishers, to help them overcome some of the various obstacles that may be found throughout the several stages of the game, such as weakened floors, fire, and electric arcs.
For the citizens to reach the exit securely, the player needs to use Mr. ESC’s agility and strategic preparation. Civilians have rudimentary artificial intelligence and can be instructed to stay still or follow commands. In addition, the player can guide one civilian at a time using an arrow cursor. This allows the player to tell civilians to go to a particular place or to pick up and utilize specific tools.
The expansion pack Exit 2 includes ten new dangers, 240 new stages, and two new civilian types—the Macho and the Dog. In addition, the Xbox Live Arcade version consists of 30 more exclusive levels that may be downloaded.
