The planet Earth is once more under attack by the extraterrestrial Galaga army. Galaga Legions is a comprehensive reimagining of the original video game from 1981 that takes the same approach to game design as Pac-Man: Championship Edition. The screen is suddenly overrun by waves of different types of hostile ships, and each one is preceded by a bright orange line that traces its way across the screen. The player’s ship is capable of ordinary firing. It has two indestructible satellites that may detach from the leading boat, fire in any of the four cardinal directions, and quickly be recalled to the ultimate ship. These satellites can fire in any of the cardinal directions.
The game has five different stages, and it may be played in two separate modes: Adventure, in which each phase must be completed in sequential order, and Championship, in which each step must be completed independently for the highest possible score. As the player progresses through the game, extra skins for the player and the foes will become available.
