The Ballad of Gay Tony is Grand Theft Auto IV’s second and last expansion pack. It is released as downloadable content (DLC) and requires playing the original game.
The plot revolves around a new character, Luis Fernando Lopez, who is a member of a Dominican drug ring. He is also Anthony “Gay Tony” Prince’s bodyguard. With an unusual tale and several sports automobiles, including the return of the iconic Bullet, the game introduces a lot of glitters. New aircraft and a parachute (previously seen in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas) are also included. New pastimes include a driving range (golf) and different drinking and dancing-based mini-games in the numerous nightclubs. Multiplayer has updated game modes as well as a multiplayer BASE jumping competition. The game begins with Luis Fernando Lopez being held captive after a bank robbery involving Niko Bellic from the first game. From then, a vast plot develops, including the survival of nightclubs, a collection of stolen gems, drug abuse, and several gangs.
Players can replay previously completed missions using a scoring system, similar to the Manhunt and Hitman games, and this feature was previously featured in the GTA series in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.
