In this free-roaming action game, the Wild West meets Grand Theft Auto. You play Colton White, a young gunslinger whose father is killed by an Indian band led by Reverend Reed in 1870. Your father hands you a token just before he dies, revealing you are not his son. Sworn to avenge his death, you hunt the killers and uncover the item’s secrets. Although you are alone, you can create temporary alliances with townspeople, Apaches, and posse members, but keep an eye on them as they can turn against you.
The basic plot is linear, created by Hollywood screenwriter Randall Jahnson (The Mask of Zorro, 1998). You will have to fight duels, defend communities from robbers, assist in constructing railway tracks, engage in numerous disputes, and assassinate heavily armed bosses. There are also other side tasks and other methods to earn money. You can play poker in the casino, aid farmers with their livestock, assist the local sheriff, or use the pony express to deliver stuff. Bounty hunting, ordinary hunting for uncommon animals, gold mining, and numerous rescue missions are among the options.
Acquiring and gaining talents such as QuickDraw (seen in Bullet Time,) Zoom Firing, Melee Combat, better accuracy, the ability to throw axes, and tactically equipping and upgrading different weapons are all RPG features. Hand weapons (knives, tomahawks, bayonets), archery arms, explosive throwable things, and standard guns such as sharpshooter rifles, colts, and Winchesters are available. Some are gained during missions, while others can be purchased and sold for cash in towns.
The primary mode of transportation, horses, is a nod to the GTA. Various animals can be found with a wide range of movement choices. Run wild chases, spurt, gallop, perform skid attacks, or stomp your opponents. Allow them to relax occasionally, or you will wear them out. You may roll movements, use items for cover, grab your opponents, and even scalp them in melee battles. You can deviate from the main plot and explore the vast area, including towns, deserts, mountains, wilderness, and caves.
