Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary is a re-release of Halo: Combat Evolved for the Xbox 360 meant to commemorate the Halo series’ tenth anniversary.
The anniversary edition includes the same single-player campaign as the original Combat Evolved, with the only difference being that the player can switch between the graphics engine used in the original Combat Evolved (for identical graphics) and the graphics engine used in Halo: Reach (for more modern pictures) at any point during the campaign, even mid-session. Cooperative gameplay is also supported in the campaign.
The multiplayer mode includes all of the maps from the original and numerous new ones, and like the single-player mode, players can switch between old and modern graphics at any time throughout the session. The multiplayer has also been improved with elements from more current Halo games, such as emblems, weapon loadouts, configurable armor, and gender selection.
