Nobody can hear you cry in Hell as you scream in space. As a result, when Ash, the rabbit prince of the underworld, discovers that some of his embarrassing photos have been stolen and uploaded on the internet, he sets out to kill every infernal beast that sees them. Nestor, his humble servant who occasionally gives guidance and improvements, and Ms. Fountaine, his healer, who Ash can return to and replenish his health, are also with him.

Yes, please! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit is a lighthearted platformer with aspects of different genres. Some of the scenes are parodies of popular culture and other games. It can even occasionally breach the fourth wall. The player controls Ash, who gains access to numerous firearms and a spinning saw jetpack early in the game. The saw can kill creatures, drill through hard surfaces, and raise the height of a jump. The main objective is to slay several monster bosses dispersed across the stages to unlock Hell portals to new sections. The world is linked together through conventional exits and teleporters. This enables Ash to return to prior places and complete any outstanding tasks. Simple monsters roaming the levels respawn after a while, with the main constant risk being numerous traps, like moving spikes and acid. The player can also gather presents, cash, and gems. The booty is exchanged for headgear, masks, wheel customizations, firearms, and shop upgrades.

Most bosses can be killed by shooting or drilling them until they have no health. Invulnerable shields shield others or inaccessible locations, necessitating a puzzle-solving technique involving adjacent objects or temporary firearms. To defeat a boss, the player must complete a short game similar to WarioWare’s. Otherwise, it will resurrect. Some of these mini-games are quick time events (QTEs), in which you must press the correct keys at the right times. There are multiple-choice quizzes and “spot the odd one out” games, among other things.

Because Ash spends a large portion of the game carrying a gun, the game plays mostly like a platform shooter. On the other hand, he loses all his weapons in some stages and must avoid being attacked by enemies. The previously mentioned puzzles are used to kill bosses during these stages. Ash jumps inside a spaceship in one scene, and the game switches to a top-down shoot-them-up. The rabbit will lose health when hit if the player does not gather fuel power-ups. The player will eventually be able to operate other vehicles as well. Other genre shifters include The Island and The Missions. The Island is accessible from the main menu and functions as a zoo (advertised as a resort in the game) for all slain monster bosses. The player can assign them to work in the mine, the manor, the lab, or the harbor, with each offering money, extra lives, an item, or a surprise reward once enough labor is completed. Overworked monsters will eventually become angry or depressed. These must be punished or sent to rest before they may continue to work. Missions can be discovered in the most remote areas of the levels. They appear in groups of three and require the player to fulfill specific tasks, such as completing a tough act in midair, collecting a certain quantity of coins, or killing a certain number of monsters before the timer expires. The player receives a prize after completing all three assignments.
