Hexic 2, the sequel to Alexey Pajitnov’s Hexic, is an expansion of the original game’s gameplay by adding a new multiplayer option and additional unique pieces. The game’s objective is still the same: spin a group of three hexes to form a cluster containing three or more details of the same color. If you successfully create one of the more challenging forms, you will be rewarded with a unique component with various abilities. As was the case before, formations created out of these individual parts result in the highest scores, making it imperative to master these pieces to get high scoring.
There are several ways to play the game, ranging from casual and laid-back puzzle solving to more intense and tense racing against the time or another player. Hexic 2 includes a new 3-D presentation with eye-pleasing and calming electronic music.
