Just Dance 4 is the fourth main installment in the Just Dance series, which challenges players to replicate dance routines set to popular tunes and earn points for their efforts. On the Wii platforms, movement is recorded using the Wii Remote. On the Xbox 360 platform, activity is tracked using the Kinect peripheral. On the PlayStation 3 platform, activity is tracked through the PlayStation Eye camera, with support for the Move peripheral available as an optional extra.

The difficulty levels and the opportunity to perform a short dance to progress through a song more quickly have been taken out of the game compared to the version that came before this one. A number of the game modes, including Simon Says, Medley, Speed Shuffle, Playlists, Just Create, and 8-Player, have also been taken out of circulation. Additionally, developing individualized dance routines at this time is impossible. The series has recently included something called “dance quests,” in which a single song will have six different objectives. Mojo points, the game’s primary form of cash, can be acquired by its successful completion. Players on all platforms, except Xbox 360, can create dancer cards, which serve as a profile for favorite songs, top scores, and challenges achieved. In the same vein as the other games, alternate versions of songs can be unlocked. The sweat mode from the last game, which counts calories, has been developed into a fitness-like program. Each routine has a distinct focus, and they can last for up to forty minutes in total.

Additionally, it incorporates a warm-up and a cool-down period. The fight mode and the dancing mash-up mode are two of the other game modes. The new attendance feature captures gaming moments on platforms with a camera and combines them into a film for later viewing.

The Wii U version features a mode called “puppet master,” which allows the user to control the visuals, playlists, and moves of up to four other players via the GamePad. This mode is exclusive to the Wii U version. In addition to that, you can record images and videos with it, as well as write on the screen itself. As downloadable content (DLC), extra tracks are available across all platforms. Approximately fifty ways are included in the main game, some of which are different depending on the platform and the location. Christina Aguilera, Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Rihanna, Jessie J, Flo Rida, Carrie Underwood, Elvis Presley, Ricky Martin, Nelly Furtado, Rick Astley, Britney Spears, Pink, and Skrillex are just some of the artists that are featured on this compilation album.
