Just Dance 4 is the fourth main installment in the Just Dance series, which challenges players to replicate dance routines set to popular tunes and earn points for their efforts. On the Wii platforms, movement is recorded using the Wii Remote. On the Xbox 360 platform, activity is tracked using the Kinect peripheral. The difficulty levels and the opportunity to perform a short dance to progress through a song more quickly have been taken out of the game compared to the version that came before this one. A number of the game modes, including Simon Says, Medley, Speed Shuffle, Playlists, Just Create, and 8-Player, have also been taken out of circulation. The Wii U version features a mode called “puppet master,” which allows the user to control the visuals, playlists, and moves of up to four other players via the GamePad.
