Lollipop Chainsaw is a hack-and-slash action game with gameplay similar to the No More Heroes series, with the primary protagonist being a zombie-slaying cheerleader named Juliet Starling. The competitions will take place at San Romero High School. Everything started in Juliet’s classroom when a classmate turned pupils into zombies to breach the barrier separating our world from Rotten World, a dimension inhabited by demonic and undead beings. Juliet must now clear the school of the undead invasion.
Light attacks (acrobatic kicks and punches with her pom-poms), Heavy attacks (ferocious chainsaw slashes), and Super attacks (used for defeating zombies and saving classmates will fill up Juliet’s star meter). Juliet also carries the decapitated head of her zombie-bitten boyfriend, Nick, and hangs him with her skirt, which can be utilized as a projectile device. Juliet can insert Nick’s head and attach it to a zombie’s decapitated head, allowing the user to control Nick while assisting Juliet. Juliet’s chainsaw and talents will be updated when the player completes specific obstacles in the game, acquiring new abilities as you move farther into the game. By killing many zombies, you can earn two types of medals (which can be spent in an in-game shop called Chop2Shop. com). Gold medals improve the character’s attributes and purchase new signature moves, whereas rare platinum coins can be obtained by defeating special zombies or engaging in Sparkle Hunting.
Instead of blood, massacred zombies shoot bolts of light. One of two alternative endings, positive or negative, will be displayed depending on the circumstances.
