Lost Cities for Xbox Live Arcade is based on the classic card game of the same name. The normal one-on-one mode pits the player against the AI or another Xbox Live participant.
Each participant is dealt eight cards numbered 2 to 10 in five distinct colors. The game’s goal is to sequentially place cards of the same color on the appropriate colored expedition. The player loses 20 points when the first card of a trip is established, which is the cost of starting a journey. The player will receive the points shown on the card after the initial investment. Investment cards increase the number of points received per card played on an expedition while also increasing the initial point loss.
After each card is placed, another card is drawn, ensuring that the player always has 8 cards in his hand. The goal is to outscore your opponent before the remaining cards in the deck are drawn.
There is also a two-on-two team option, in which players on the same team can pass cards to their teammates. The Vision Camera is supported for the avatars of the players in the game.
