NBA 2K8 is a continuation of 2K’s NBA franchise, featuring the obligatory roster and stats updates for each team, as well as the standard game modes: Exhibition, Season, Career, and The Association, where players can identify key players as well as troublemakers, keep up-to-date injuries and stats, and simulate games.
The controls are still the same as in previous editions, with minor changes. One example is when players can move to other offensive players besides the ball carrier and set up alley-oops and screens to confuse defenses. Players can also utilize the right analog stick to lock on opponents and perform defensive plays against them. There is also Signature Style, which gives NBA players a more lifelike and fluid appearance.
Sprite also sponsors a Slam Dunk Contest in which you can use over 300 different dunk variations and compete against four other opponents online. The game’s music is provided by well-known rappers like Q-Tip, Run-DMC, and Percee P, among many others.
