NBA 2K9 is the latest installment in the long-running 2K series, along with the regular roster update featuring the most recent NBA stars. The same game modes are available: Exhibition, Season, and Franchise, with somewhat different gameplay.
One of the most recent changes is the ability for the player to adjust the trajectory of their shot in mid-air, as well as an intelligent AI that reacts to the player’s performance. During franchise mode, users can also track their players’ performance, morale, and attitude to ensure they are happy and satisfied with their position on the squad.
New highlight reel cutscenes and online capabilities also allow players to engage in online leagues or face off against another squad head-to-head.
Players can also submit their players and personalized highlight reels to their respective online providers (the PS2 version does not have this capability). The game’s voice actors include Clark Kellogg, Cheryl Miller, and Kevin Harlan.
