Electronic Arts developed a sports simulation game called NCAA Basketball 09 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The NCAA Basketball series, formerly known as the NCAA March Madness series, will continue with this installment. You can compete against the game’s artificial intelligence (AI) or other human-controlled players on the same console or online by using the matching facilities provided by EA. The game centers around the sport of basketball. You manage the movements and activities of individual players on the team, making decisions such as when to pass the ball, shoot the ball, dribble the ball, run plays, or do any other activity involved with winning a game of basketball against an equally driven opponent.
The game centers on collegiate basketball teams from the United States. It includes more than 300 school teams and the rosters linked with them. The game allows you to take control of any of the teams and offers a wide variety of game modes in addition to the traditional team-versus-team mode. You can choose to play through a single season or switch to the dynasty mode and play through an entire coaching career for an NCAA college basketball team. It enables you to manage your roster, coach your players, develop plans, participate in competitions, and do much more. There is also the possibility to reenact “March Madness” by playing only the tournament’s championship round.
