Quake Arena Arcade is an online multiplayer shooter that carries on the legacy established by its predecessor, Quake III: Arena. This game version features a new coat of HD paint and new maps that are only available on the Xbox 360 system.
The objective of each match is to outlive your opponents and collect the most “frags,” which are points awarded when a competitor is eliminated from the game. This can be done in either a team-based or free-for-all multiplayer mode, and there are also harvester and capture-the-flag game modes for you to choose from. You can access a wide selection of weaponry, including the dependable Rocket Launcher, the Lightning Gun, the Rail Gun, which functions similarly to a sniper rifle, and the lethal BFG. Players can pick up health and armor upgrades and additional upgrades that can improve their movement speed and the damage they deal while traversing the various game levels. Aside from teleporters and jump pads, the maps have underground and lava-filled tunnels running from one side of the arena to the next.
Online competition on Xbox Live can include up to 16 people at a time. A single-player story mode is available, incorporating most online game modes, boss fights, and other challenges. You can customize the control scheme to meet your requirements, pick a character skin to differentiate yourself from the other players, and add AI bots to any multiplayer game. You can also establish a practice session if you need to enhance your skills.
