Radiant Silvergun’s narrative begins with the end of the world. You are sent back in time as the pilot of the starfighter Radiant Silvergun in pursuit of the key to saving the planet. You will face hordes of adversaries in numerous historical periods searching for an alien being known as the Origin. Only by destroying the Origin can the planet’s terrible future be changed.
Radiant Silvergun is a top-down shooter developed by Treasure (Gunstar Heroes, Silhouette Mirage) and released in Japan in 1998 for the Sega Saturn. You have three attack options for the swarm of foes that fill your screen. A straight shot, a homing laser, and a devastating spread shot are all available.
