The three coin-operated shooters in the Raiden Fighters series—Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2, and Raiden Fighters Jet—have been compiled into one game called Raiden Fighters Aces. Each of the three games is a direct conversion of the original arcade release, and just like the arcade versions, it comes with several different game modes (regular, expert, scoring assault, and boss rush), in addition to a wide variety of control and display settings. In addition, a Superplay DVD is included with the Japanese edition.
