Rayman’s companion Globox introduced a dangerous potential into the globe. Globox angered the Hoodlums by devouring Andre, the Lord of the Dark Lums, and they now intend to reclaim their master at any cost to the rest of society. Rayman must save the day and discover a remedy to free the Dark Lord from Globox.

Third-person platformer Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc is in three dimensions. The primary character, Rayman, hops and punches through various vibrant levels, with Globox (and Andre inside him) following and commenting occasionally on the action. Rayman’s primary weapon is his fist, which he can use to fire projectiles at Hoodlums and other enemies. The bullets have higher force when the fist is charged by pressing and holding the “shoot” button.

The game is split into multiple worlds, each with a few stages; a save point is automatically created after each level. The player must finish a minigame to surf along light beams in a surreal setting between the worlds.

In addition, Rayman can come across power-ups that give him a temporary advantage. The green power-up allows him to fire tornadoes; the blue power-up enables him to use a grappling hook; the yellow power-up gives him a brief flight ability; the orange power-up lets him fire precisely guided missiles, and the red power-up gives him extreme fist that can smash through walls. These power-ups are always required to beat an adversary or boss or advance to the following section of the level.

The Teensies imprisoned around the level can be located by Rayman and liberated; in return, the Teensies will reveal the next section of the map or summon rewards for players to find. Rayman’s health bar is increased after every six Teensies released.

The levels have a ton of hidden extras, and finishing them with a high score will reveal amusing animations and minigames.

The Game Boy Advance Rayman 3 connects to the Gamecube through the link connector, enabling you to play unique minigames on both systems and download new levels to the GBA.

The HD visuals and fluid framerate of the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions are direct transfers of the original game. There are also nine quick minigames included.
