Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare is a DLC for Red Dead Redemption, although it was also released as a separate title in retail, which does not require the original game to play. It follows the game’s protagonist, renegade John Marston, who awakens one morning to discover that a pandemic has crept over the West. Zombies have invaded the villages and outposts of the American frontier, and John Marston must try to preserve his family and survive long enough to find a cure.
It includes eight new zombie characters, zombie animals, and legendary creatures, new events, new weaponry, and new multiplayer co-op objectives and competitive modes.
