Ridge Racer 6 brings back the intense drifting action. In the World Xplorer mode, in addition to the numerous awards and other unlockables, there are 130 automobiles. In World Xplorer, you’ll progress from simple to challenging races as you make your way through a hexagonal “universe.” Nitro can be acquired throughout the races by drifting and jumping and enables you to build up three nitro boost cells that can be utilized one at a time or one after the other for an even more significant boost.
Ridge Racer is the first game in the series to include an online mode called Online Battle Mode. This mode allows as many as 14 people to compete against each other while drifting. You also have the option to watch other players race in Spectator mode if you don’t feel like competing yourself. In the Global Time Attack mode, you will be tasked with achieving your best times and then uploading them to the scoreboards to determine whether you are the world’s top player.
