The Club is a group that recruits “outsiders” to participate in a clandestine bloodsport. Those “outsiders” come from all over the world, but they all have one thing in common: they are adept at killing people.
The player will encounter eight characters with varying abilities. Renwick, for example, is an ex-cop with a good blend of speed, strength, and stamina. The tournament must be picked once the selection has been made. Each competition, for example, in a Stahlwerk in Germany, consists of six rounds. Each round has a different goal. For example, the sprint challenge demands the player to rush to the exit before time runs out. The siege challenge, on the other hand, asks the player to live for a set length of time in a confined environment.
All trials, however, have one thing in common: the player glances behind his character and blasts his way through hordes of foes. The player earns points for each kill and accumulates a combo multiplier. The multiplier determines the number of points awarded to the player, the location of the hit, and whether or not the player completed a specific action before the kill, such as busting through a door or jumping through a window. Each kill boosts the multiplier by one, but waiting too long between kills reduces it. The higher it was during the last kill, the faster it would fall.
There are also eight other multiplayer modes in the game. These modes include standard Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, as well as Team Fox Hunt, in which teams must kill the fox of the opposing team to win.
