Unlike many others in the genre, the Outfit is a WWII game that is nearly solely focused on destruction. While on foot, you must utilize a tactical strategy to defeat Axis soldiers. You will collect “Field Units” points that may be used to purchase equipment like tanks and gun turrets. Simply use the Y button on your controller and the left thumbstick button to select an item to purchase. As a result, The Outfit is dubbed “destruction on demand” by the game’s creators. AI-controlled soldiers will initially occupy the equipment you buy with Field Units, but you can replace them to have fun blowing stuff up. Almost everything in The Outfit can be blown up, thanks to its destructible setting.
You can choose between three different characters. Tommy Mac can absorb much damage before dying and has a flamethrower and machine gun, although his equipment costs more Field Units than other characters. Deuce Williams is armed with a rocket launcher and a handgun, and he doesn’t require as many Field Units to purchase items as Tommy does, but he isn’t nearly as strong. JD Tyler is the most precise of the three, wielding a sniper rifle and a shotgun. Still, he will die with a single shot, necessitating an incredibly tactical approach to gameplay.
